"When I went to the first room they assigned me, there was someone already in the room. On my cell phone I called the front desk and told them. Khalid said he'd be right out. Five minutes later he came, after the (homeless) man came out of the room and left. I gave Khalid a description of the man that came out of the room and he wanted to know how I knew he was homeless and why didn't I go into the room to see if everything was okay. I think that was a very inappropriate thing to ask of a hotel guest, besides potentially dangerous. Then when I tried to get another room, Khalid kept asking me the same questions over and over again about what happened, as if it didn't happen and I was for some reason lying. I was very fed up by this time and said I didn't want to stay at the hotel. He told me they were still going to charge me for the two nights because I was cancelling less than 24 hours in advance. Since it was more hassle than it was worth, I stayed, but insisted on another room, away from the back side of the motel where the homeless man came out of the room. Also there was trash bags in a couple of places around this hotel that no one put in dumpsters while I was there. On check out the bill stated that I live at some address in Florida, not California. When I asked them to change this, Samir said it doesn't matter. I couldn't get Samir to do anything about it. The quality of this hotel is fine, except for the back of the hotel that looks out over a burnt out building. But the service is down right hostile."
